Hi my name is Sean, and guess what? I want to quit my job too. So this is a journey with me as I start from the point of being employed to the point of being my own boss. Welcome to my journey and possibly yours too.
I have been looking for the road to self employment again for the past 15 plus years. Yes I once was self employed, I owned a daycare business in Burbank California and I loved being my own boss. I have been thinking about this internet thing since 2007 but I have never taken action on it, Til NOW.
So What Do I Do Currently For a Living?
Hold on to your pants people because my high paying, outstanding career is (Drum Roll Please) I work as an assistant manager at a convenience store / gas station. And I have been there for almost 10 years. I can hear the applause but don’t get me wrong It’s a good place to work. I meet lot’s of people and have get presented with unique challenges everyday but at the end of the day there is this feeling in me that says “I can be more.” That phrase has haunted me for most of my life and I will reveal more about this as we go. The question I have for you is “Can You Relate to This in Your Own Life.” I believe that 99.9% of you answered Yes and I believe that their is HOPE, ALWAYS!
“Where Does That Leave Me Now?
Back in 2007 I had been hearing a lot about this internet thing (which is still foreign to me) and how people were not just making money but making a living full-time at this. Somehow I stumbled on a individual calling herself Potpiegirl and to be honest with you I love pot pies. So I checked out her site and bought her stuff and did nothing with it. It’s not that the material wasn’t good, it was that my mindset was not good and that is where all my challenges lie. Between my left and right ear. Through her I heard of this place called Wealthy Affiliate University. Now I will be honest with you I have never attended College or a University so I read through that site and became a member on July 2, 2009 and did nothing. Once again not because the information was bad or incorrect, it was due to my mindset. (I’ll get into this later)
Fast Forward To Today: Monday, June 16, 2015
I want to welcome you on my journey. I wish I could tell how it’s going to go but that’s the adventure of the journey. I have been through a lot of ups and downs and I have always just kept walking. One thing is for certain, I love to help people become more than they currently are, it juices me to watch someone evolve, including me. So I’m working hard and looking were I want to go and have found some incredible mentors and a place the helps me 24/7 along this journey and they will help you too. Almost forgot in my spare time I enjoy:
1) Watching Movies (All Kinds)
2) Working Out (This is Therapy)
3) Looking at the stars – Makes me remember that there is endless possibilities.
This is my life and my, and possibly your journey. I am loving working from home and my outcome for this site is to help you do the same and quit your job.
Again I’m Sean, Awesome to meet you and feel free to contact me with anything you need. I promise this, if I don’t know the answer, I will find someone who does and I’m pretty good at that.
Please tell me about yourself or if you have any questions, thoughts or just want to say Hi, leave a comment below. Let me hear from you or you can always get in touch with me at WealthyAffiliate.com (here is a link to my profile).

I truly felt that I was reading my story. Glad that you have found your place at a much earlier time that I have. Also found PPG and eventually found my way to WA on April 19, 2010. Once you have the right mindset and motivation a person can move mountains. Wishing you all of the best and I really look forward to seeing you in Las Vegas, Sean.
Peter.
Thanks for the nice message Peter. I love to see someone who just keeps moving forward and you are right on with having the proper mindset. I wish you all the best and look forward to seeing you in Vegas and I like your site. 🙂
I can definitely relate to your story. And I also love pot pies and I have been following Potpiegirl for years 🙂
I know Steve aren’t pot pies great! Thanks for reading, I’m glad that you can relate that’s what I want is for people to see that we all have some obstacle that we can overcome and Potpiegirl is something else. That firee little Georgia Peach…lol
Hey Sean, I’m glad I stumbled onto your page. Reading your profile, I couldn’t help but relate to so many things you mentioned, especially about “I can be more”. I feel many of us have that phrase haunt and inspire us, yet few actually go through with it. I certainly hope you accomplish your goals with IM and one day look back on this blog and instead of saying I can be more, you’ll be saying “I am more!”. Good luck to you!
Hey thanks Vitaliy, thanks for reading and I deep down personally feel almost everyone has that little voice saying “they can be more!” and they can, we all can. I look forward to saying I am more along with you and the rest of the people that make a choice and just go for it. Best of luck to you too. 🙂
I can relate to everything you have said here Sean, back in 2002 when I started online I wanted to find something that was legit and something that would lead me to success. I knew people around me (on the web) were achieving a good deal of success online and I wanted to be “one of them”.
Well, it took me a bit of hard work an dedication but man was it worth it. It took me approximately a year of working my butt off to get to the “full time” state and I have now been at this for 11 years, working from home (or from wherever I want) and I would not trade it for the world.
I know you are in the right place at Wealthy Affiliate and I look forward to seeing your journey unfold. I know that you have been at this for 15 years now, but if you give it ONE solid year with what you learn at WA, you are going to be in a very good spot come July 2014!
Thank you Kyle for paving a road that gives so many an opportunity at what you have accomplished. You are speaking the exact same words of a dear friend of mine, actually a man that I would call brother, who has always said the same thing that you just wrote. Put your head down, and butt up for one solid year and at the end of that year you’ll be in a spot where your life will never be the same again. And he always talked about having the right vehicle and the proper coaches and mentors around you to learn from. I am truly grateful to be here at WA and I am leaning from you and the community and look forward to continue being your student and a student of WA and also giving back to others because that’s what community is truly all about, I believe. And thanks for that nice reminder of what can be in 12 short months, July 2014 looks pretty sweet!
Sean 🙂
I wish you well on your new journey and trust it will be rewarding one. Many of us want to learn how to earn money online, and I look forward to see how you progress.
Thanks Mike, so far it has been nothing short of WOW, I can’t believe I knew so little..lol. And I am looking forward to how I progress also. I really want a boat load of people to be on the ride and we can all fire our bosses together. I look forward to getting to know you.
Sean 🙂
Hi Sean,
Your story is so vividly written that I felt I was living in it. Hope your new start brings only success and even more enthusiasm.
Keep the good spirit,
Irina
